Clearwater Marine Aquarium and Gold and Diamond Source to Give Away $20,000 Wedding on Valentine’s Day

Deadline to Enter Contest is this Friday, December 4!

Clearwater, Fla. – Clearwater Marine Aquarium (CMA) and the Gold and Diamond Source are pleased to announce it will give away a free Valentine’s Day wedding package. With the “2nd Annual Wedding of a Lifetime Contest,” one lucky couple will be chosen to get married on a platform over the main dolphin pool on the most romantic day of the year. Resident CMA dolphins Nicholas and Winter will assist in the nuptials.

The package includes wedding rings, a custom-designed wedding dress, a honeymoon and much more. The one-of-a-kind wedding dress will be designed by celebrity costume designer Maria McGill. She has made dresses for ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars” and FOX’s “So You Think You Can Dance.” The value of the wedding package is more than $20,000!

Interested couples should submit a photo and explanation of why they should be chosen to win CMA’s “2nd Annual Wedding of a Lifetime Contest” to weddingcontest@cmaquarium.org. Please call 727-441-1790 ext. 228 with any questions. The deadline for submitting entries is this Friday, December 4 and the winning couple will be chosen Friday, December 11. The wedding package will include the following:

• Wedding rings provided by Gold and Diamond Source (visit www.goldanddiamondsource.com to view pictures) rings

• One-of-a-kind, custom-designed wedding dress for bride created by Maria McGill’s Entrada Couture

• Honeymoon provided by Sanibel Harbour Resort & Spa (four-night stay in their Tarpon House)

• Professional photography by Photos by J. David (includes two sessions for engagement and wedding photos)

• Wedding night stay in a suite at the Sandpearl Resort

• Tuxedos for groom and groomsmen provided by Deolinda’s Tuxedo & Tailoring

• Flowers for bride and groom provided by DJ’s Florist

• Limousine service by Ambassador Limousines

• Professional make-up for bride and bridesmaids

• Professional hair styling for bride and bridesmaids

• Use of Clearwater Marine Aquarium by bride and groom and 100 guests for a wedding Sunday, Feb. 14 (time to be determined by winner)

• An ordained minister to perform the ceremony

• Professional invitations by Clearwater Marine Aquarium

• Wedding cake following the ceremony provided by Publix

• Sparkling wine toast for guests following the ceremony provided by Zenzen Wines USA

• Dolphin painting by Winter the dolphin (with winners favorite colors)

• CMA prize basket

The couple deemed the most compelling story of why they should receive a free wedding will be chosen. Earlier this year, 78 couples from across the U.S. entered our first “Wedding of a Lifetime Contest.” The winning couple was Samantha Stahl and Kevin Freeland.

Clearwater Marine Aquarium is a Florida non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, dedicated to marine life rescue, rehabilitation and release, and environmental education. Services in this contest are being donated by local businesses.
