We had some very special visitors at CMA today from Neenah, Wisconsin residents Anna, 12, and Sylvia, 6. The Walentowski family chose Clearwater, FL as their Spring Break destination this year just so they could meet Winter, the only dolphin in the world missing an entire tail. Anna has scoliosis and wears a back brace, so she has a lot in common with Winter, who wears a prosthetic tail to help her swim like other dolphins. Winter’s story also helps Anna’s little sister, Sylvia, understand what’s going on with her big sis. Mom, Jennifer, says “We love the spirit of Winter and learning about her will to survive. Meeting Winter reminds us of how thankful we are to have what we all have.”
