Free Willy move over (I love that movie)! You probably have heard that we announced a movie partnership with Alcon Entertainment & Warner Brothers in December. Alcon Entertainment is a leading independent film maker associated directly with Warner Brothers. Their two most recent films are The Blind Side with Sandra Bullock and The Book of Eli with Denzel Washington. The Blind Side was recently nominated for an Academy Award and Bullock won for Best Actress.
The soon-to-be-produced movie, A Dolphin Tale, will be a major motion picture theatrical release. The story line includes many of Winter’s true-life facts with a fictional story wrapped around it. A young man named Sawyer befriends Winter and rallies people around Winter to get her a prosthetic tail. It is a heart-warming story that will reach millions around the world about our work here at CMA! We will announce more details as the project moves ahead. Who would have thought?!

I am so proud to be a volunteer for CMA and a part of the Winter Dream. Just to see the faces on the children that come in to see her and the rest of the Aquarium is a joy.
Can we all come to the Oscars when we win “Best Documentary”. Keep up the great work CMA, getting the word out.

Well , all I just finish watching the documentary “The Dolphin that Could” at the end I was in tears. Such a heart warming story of how this little lady is changing the world. If you don’t have a copy of this DVD do your best to get a copy. If the movie is anything like this we are going to need a lot of kleenex.. Happy Mother’s Day to all of you at CMA and CMA Family.
I have blogged about winter before, in 2008, and I am really excited about her getting a big movie deal. It should be a good movie because I really liked the Blind Side and Book of Eli.
