
$3 Admission for Seniors on Wednesday Mornings to Begin June 2
Clearwater, FL (May 12, 2010) – To mark the kick-off of Senior Wednesdays at Clearwater Marine Aquarium (CMA), the Aquarium hosted a “Senior Fun Fest!” The free event, put together by Senior Connection magazine, offered seniors the opportunity to explore CMA, win prizes and get free health screenings by the AARP/Walgreens Wellness Tour Bus. Seniors also got the opportunity to learn more about our famous tailless dolphin, Winter.
Beginning June 2, every Wednesday morning from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m., seniors will receive admission to CMA for only $3, as well as complimentary donuts and coffee, and a 10 percent discount on gift shop purchases.
CMA is located at 249 Windward Passage on Island Estates. The Aquarium is home to dolphins, sea turtles, river otters, stingrays, nurse sharks and more. Winter the dolphin’s story of survival and inspiration has touched millions of people around the world. A movie about her life story is in the works with Warner Bros.-based Alcon Entertainment. Her documentary, “Winter: The Dolphin that Could” is available at www.SeeWinter.com. The film takes viewers on an extraordinary journey through her rescue, fight to stay alive and extensive rehabilitation. Scholastic published Winter’s Tail: How One Little Dolphin Learned to Swim Again in October 2009.

I will definately be there…high prices have kept me away before but now I will be there to enjoy. Thanx for the recognition of us “oldar” folks…we like to still play just like the younger crowd.
