Take a trip back 50 years to Sweet Apple, Ohio and listen to the gyrating sounds of rock and roll superstar Conrad Birdie as he woos innocent teen Kim MacAfee and creates an uproar in the small town.

This summer, Clearwater’s CITY PLAYERS, INC. will perform the stage musical Bye Bye Birdie at Ruth Eckerd Hall from July 23rd to 25th.

Clearwater Marine Aquarium will host a preview of the performance and give aquarium guests a chance to meet cast members. Cast members will perform “Put on a Happy Face” at the Aquarium’s Bright House Atlantis Theater on Thursday, July 22nd at 12:30 p.m.

General admission for City Players’ Bye Bye Birdie musical is $23 in advance and $26 on the day of event. Tickets may be purchased by contacting Ruth Eckerd Hall box office at (727) 791-7400. For information on group sales, call (727) 539-7535 or click here.
